Who We Are

We have a history of helping companies master IoT.

For almost two decades, SpinDance has helped companies of all industries solve the most complex software engineering problems. Through hard work and continual success, we now work with some of the biggest brands in the world, crafting everything from smart home appliances to industrial actuators.

Our end-to-end IoT approach reflects our name. We see our business as a dance between parts and people, a dance that masterfully comes together to create solutions. Every day, we’re spinning to discover new software ideas and guide our customers to see transformative results. Think you share our drive, passion, and creativity? Join our team of SpinDancers.

Bring better, do better

Our Values.

We're all looking to bring better into the world. And bringing better doesn't involve software that's selfish or cheap. It involves personalized software development, mixed with a little IoT know-how.

Bringing better also means helping all kinds of people—our customers, our employees, our families, and our community. That's why we stick to these five principles: Be a Friend, Mentor and Learn, Seek and Communicate Truth, Make Good Decisions, and Deliver Everyday. By doing so, we empower you to bring better, too.

How We Work

Philosophy.

Right from the start, we see every project as a powerful opportunity. It's a chance for our employees to come together, blend their passions and skills, and set the stage for project success. We help you understand the value of IoT, then assign you a dedicated project team to flawlessly carry out the design, building, and execution of your product.

Design & Development

Our Discovery, Delivery, and Support teams carefully manage and continuously improve your project experience. We know it’s critical for our customers to understand the value of IoT. So that’s why we take time to help you visualize both your current and your future state of business.

We attack IoT holistically. We begin by understanding your company and your project goals, then work side-by-side to design and develop your plan for success. What results is a comprehensive end-to-end system design that covers the entire lifecycle of the IoT device and digital service.

Execution

Our project teams use Agile principles and elements of the Scrum methodology to complete projects. By doing so, we share the workload. And together we identify problems, build software solutions, and work alongside our customers to ensure we capture their feedback along the way.

Make An Impact

Community.

Holland, Michigan is our home. It's a city with a deeply-rooted cultural heritage we've come to appreciate and respect. So we choose to give back. By supporting local organizations, we create more opportunity, foster innovation, and enrich our beloved city for the better.

Innovation + Awareness

The future of IoT lies with young minds in our community. SpinDance lends time and talent to ensure this future remains bright. Organizations like First Robotics Team 74 garner young people's interest in science and technology, giving students real insights into the field of engineering. Prep'd Program by Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) provides students with career-based pathways to become active members of their community.

We also dedicate time to local meet ups and conferences. Lakeshore Tech Makers allows individuals to tinker with small computers, then learn how to program devices and connect to the internet. Big Data Ignite brings in local expertise to discuss advanced computing technologies and large-scale data management. These are just a few of our many volunteer initiatives.

Acts of Service

Giving back means sharing the burdens of our community—and taking them on as our very own. SpinDance works with Habitat for Humanity to build homes, offer stability, and strengthen families who need affordable housing. Our employees also dedicate time to the ASWS (Autism Society), advocating and supporting individuals in West Michigan with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Diversity + Inclusion

In everything we do, we hope to bridge the gap between our community and our people. We firmly believe that growing a sense of camaraderie —inside and outside our doors — is vital. Just as we create connections with our customers, we look to create connections to our community. We seek an atmosphere that enables personal and professional fulfillment, allowing us to socialize our passions in the world around us.

SpinDance has been a key partner to our local schools, allowing students and teachers to visit their workplace, see what they do, and help students with projects they are working on. It’s been amazing to have their team use student ideas, critique students’ work, and truly value what they create. Our programs through futurePREP’d wouldn’t be possible without incredible partners like SpinDance.
